Frank Rotman

Board Member at Hello Alice

Frank Rotman is a board member at Hello Alice, a position they have held since June 2007. Prior to that, they were the Chief Strategy Officer/Chief Credit Officer at EduCap from December 2005 to June 2007. While at EduCap, they helped grow the business from a conceptual test to an operating business in less than a year. Their responsibilities spanned the entire business and included overall corporate performance and goals setting/reporting, corporate strategy and business model, credit models and consumer pricing, new product development, and capital markets.

From April 2005 to December 2005, Frank was the SVP Installment Loans at Capital One Financial Corporation. In this role, they had product line management for personal loans and lines of credit and full strategy, balance sheet, and operational responsibility for Capital One's Installment Loans business (over $6.5 Billion in assets). Frank successfully completed an overhaul of the business due to lackluster performance over the past few years - which resulted in a tripling of NIAT contribution in just one year after deployment. Their new strategy/projections suggested that the business should be able to increase its contribution by a factor of five in the next three years. Early changes to the business included a complete overhaul of the strategy, targeting, product structures and marketing materials - all oriented around customer needs; reducing 2006 cost structure by almost 20%; improving marketing efficiency by over 25% with the deployment of new consumer oriented marketing materials; and deploying an Underwriting philosophy and platform that recognized and utilized the unique nature of Installment Loans.

Frank Rotman received a B.S in Applied Mathematics from the University of Virginia, an M.S in Systems Engineering with a focus in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Virginia, and a High School Diploma from Cheltenham High School.
