Nelson Fernandez

Nelson Fernandez has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Nelson started their career at Skills Inc. in 1999 as a Web/Graphic Designer and worked there until 2005. From 2005 to 2007, they worked as a Web Designer at Leadclick Media/Eadvertisting. In 2007, they joined IODA as a Creative Director and stayed with the company until 2012. Nelson then worked as a Senior Visual/UI Designer at Travora Media for a brief period in 2012. From 2013 to 2015, they held the position of a Senior Visual/UI Designer at Gannett | USA TODAY NETWORK. Following that, they worked as the Design Director at Propeller Health from 2015 to 2021. Recently, Nelson held the role of Head of Creative at Section from 2021 to 2023. Currently, they are working as the VP Brand Design at Hello Heart.

Nelson Fernandez received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz between 1995 and 1999. Nelson also completed the Multimedia Studies Program at the SFSU College of Extended Learning. Furthermore, they have obtained a certification in UX Design from General Assembly.
