Molly Hagen Micallef

Molly Hagen Micallef is the current Director of Unscripted Development at Hello Sunshine. Prior to this, they were the Manager of Programming and Development at Travel Channel from September 2018 to April 2019. In this role, Molly developed unscripted series content for Travel Channel in accordance with the network's 2018 rebrand. Molly also managed relationships and took pitches from production companies, agents, individual producers, and talent. Additionally, Molly worked with a team to conceptualize new buckets and genres to expand brand and audience. Finally, they created strategies, meetings and process to streamline development approvals and align with all network departments' needs.

Before their role at Travel Channel, Molly was freelancing from March 2018 to September 2018. During this time, they worked as a TV/Digital Development and Production professional. Some of their clients included Thrillist, Anomaly Entertainment, and LionTV. For Thrillist, Molly developed short-form video ideas to fit Thrillist brand strategy, vision and budget for digital distribution. For Anomaly Entertainment, they researched and wrote a series treatment as part of paid development for Science Channel. And for LionTV, Molly researched, cast and developed concepts for both male-skewing and lifestyle networks. Her responsibilities included spearheading Skype interviews, producing casting reels, and writing treatments.

Molly Hagen Micallef studied music business and entertainment industries at the University of Miami, where they obtained a Bachelor of Music degree.
