Dr. Elena Heber

Dr. Elena Heber has extensive experience in the fields of digital therapeutics, mental health research, and psychotherapy. Dr. Elena is the Co-Founder and Chief Clinical Officer at HelloBetter, a leader in digital therapeutics for mental health disorders and digital mental health research. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Executive Officer of ARYA App, where they developed an interactive mobile app to help individuals overcome depression using machine learning techniques. Dr. Heber also held roles as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder/Psychologist at GET.ON Institut für Online Gesundheitstrainings GmbH. Dr. Elena has worked as a Freelance Mental Health Coach at the Institute for Health and Learning and as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Southampton. Dr. Elena also served as a Research Associate and PhD Candidate at Leuphana University and as a Visiting Researcher at MindTech Healthcare Technology Cooperative. Dr. Heber's research experience includes positions as a Research Assistant at the University of Konstanz and as an Intern at The University of Auckland.

Dr. Elena Heber has a diverse education history. In 2006, they obtained their Abitur from Anna-Essinger-Gymnasium Ulm. Later that year, they enrolled at the University of Konstanz, where they pursued a diploma in Psychology for the next five years, completing their studies in 2011. Following this, they enrolled at Leuphana University of Lüneburg in 2012 and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Psychology with a specialization in E-Mental Health in 2016.

Dr. Heber has also pursued additional certifications to enhance their expertise. In 2012, they obtained a certification as a Course Instructor in Affect Regulation Training from The Philipp University of Marburg. Additionally, in 2014, they obtained a certification as a Course Instructor in Stress Management from the GKM Institut für Gesundheitspsychologie.

In 2022, Dr. Heber engaged in Executive Education at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where they received a scholarship in Leadership Development.
