Orit Avital

Orit Avital is a highly experienced professional with a strong background in product management and program leadership. They began their career as a Software Developer at Comgates in 2000 and later worked as a Research Assistant in the Genetics Lab at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem from 2004 to 2005. Avital then joined Check Point Software Technologies, Ltd. where they held various roles including Program Manager, Engineering Team Leader for VPN Core, and Engineering Team Leader for Cloud & Virtualization. At Check Point, Avital was responsible for managing development projects, leading large teams, and overseeing product development life cycles. In 2015, Avital joined Udacity as a Senior Program Manager, leading cross-functional efforts and overseeing the development and launch of Nanodegree programs. They also served as a Product Manager at Udacity, responsible for managing the Virtual Classroom product. Currently, Avital works at Simply (formerly JoyTunes) as a Product Manager. Throughout their career, Avital has demonstrated expertise in UI/UX design, user testing, engineering, and project management.

Orit Avital obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Cognition Science from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. In addition to their degree, they also hold a certification as a Certified ScrumMaster from Scrum Alliance, which they obtained in February 2016.
