Varun Pillai

Varun Pillai is an experienced engineer specializing in drilling operations and remote operations, currently employed at Helmerich & Payne since April 2018. In the role of Survey Quality Engineer at Helmerich & Payne Technologies Private Limited until February 2024, Varun was responsible for the real-time Multi Station Analysis (MSA) correction in directional wells, utilizing sophisticated software for statistical analysis of measurement while drilling (MWD) data to enhance the accuracy of wellbore positioning. Varun holds a Master of Technology in Petroleum Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad, completed in 2017, and a Bachelor of Technology in Petroleum Engineering from Pandit Deendayal Energy University, obtained in 2013.
