Carolin Daniel

Principal Investigator

Carolin Daniel is a Principal Investigator at Helmholtz Munich and a Professor at Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München. Their laboratory focuses on understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms of immune tolerance in autoimmune Type 1 Diabetes. Carolin previously led the Research Group Immune Tolerance in Diabetes at Helmholtz Zentrum München from 2012 to 2022 and completed postdoctoral research at Harvard Medical School and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute from 2008 to 2012. They hold a fellowship from the Leopoldina, National Academy of Sciences in Germany.
