Head Of Core Facilities at Helmholtz Munich

Heck Susanne has extensive experience in the field of flow cytometry and core facility management. Heck started their career in 2001 at a company specializing in cellular genomics. From 2004 to 2009, they worked as the Head of Flow Cytometry at the New York Blood Center. In 2009, they joined Guy's and St. Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust as the Head of NIHR BRC Flow Cytometry Platform, where they established a research core facility and managed a team of 10 staff members and 16 instrument platforms. Since 2020, Heck Susanne has been working at the Helmholtz Zentrum München, initially as a Laboratory Manager and currently as the Head of Core Facilities.

Heck Susanne completed a Postdoctoral fellowship in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine from 1997 to 2001. Prior to that, from 1993 to 1997, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular Neuroscience and Molecular Biology from the University of Bremen. Additionally, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular Biology and Neuronal Development at the University of Bremen.
