Kyle Thompson

Kyle Thompson is a Senior Analytics Engineer at Help Scout. Kyle has also previously worked as a Database Administrator at ConstructConnect from September 2018 to January 2022. In this role, they were responsible for designing, building, improving, and maintaining financial reporting from disparate data sources. Kyle also spearheaded the migration effort to replace on-premise SQL data warehouse with new cloud data lake and warehouse utilizing tools such as Fivetran, dbt, and Google BigQuery.

At Help Scout, Kyle is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the company's data platform. This includes ETL pipelines connecting numerous data sources such as Salesforce and Zuora, designing and building complex star/snowflake models using SQL scripting including stored procedures, UDFs, and dbt macros, and administering multiple BigQuery projects including handling granular permissions across teams and managing service accounts. Kyle also works closely with Python developers to enable scheduling of full data pipeline using REST APIs such as dbt and Power BI.
