Rohit Prasad has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Rohit started their career as a Business Consultant at the Economist Intelligence Unit in 1998. Rohit then moved on to McKinsey & Company, where they held various leadership roles in the healthcare/pharma and organization practices for a total of 5 years. Following their time at McKinsey, they joined EY as the Manager of their Markets Group in India from 2003 to 2005. Rohit returned to McKinsey as a Senior Research Analyst in the Pharmaceutical/Healthcare sector from 2000 to 2003. From 2011 to 2016, Rohit worked at the Public Health Foundation of India as the Director of Development and Strategic Initiatives. Currently, they are the Chief Executive Officer of HelpAge India since July 2020, having previously served as the Chief Operating Officer from November 2017 to July 2020.
Rohit Prasad's education history begins in 1988, when they attended Sardar Patel Vidyalaya in New Delhi. Rohit completed their AISSCE (Class XII) with a focus on Science in 1990. Following this, from 1990 to 1993, Rohit continued their studies at Shri Ram College of Commerce, where they earned a B.A (Honours) degree in Economics. Moving forward in their academic journey, they pursued a Master of Business Administration degree from the Faculty of Management Studies at the University of Delhi, specializing in Marketing-Finance from 1993 to 1995. Lastly, in 2018, Rohit Prasad attended the Harvard Business School Executive Education program, focusing on Strategic Nonprofit Management in India, with a particular emphasis on Social Enterprise.
