Julie Hieger is a seasoned professional in direct support and behavioral therapy, with extensive experience working with individuals with diverse developmental needs. Currently serving as a Direct Support Worker at Helpers, Inc. since January 2015, Julie has coached adults with Autism in academic and independent living skills while addressing social-emotional needs. Additionally, Julie has provided hands-on support for teenagers with Cri Du Chat syndrome and global developmental delays, enhancing their independence in daily activities. With a strong educational background, including a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Kansas, Julie possesses the expertise to implement effective behavioral programs and assist individuals in achieving their personal goals. Prior roles include Registered Behavioral Technician and Teacher Assistant, reflecting a comprehensive commitment to promoting independence and quality of life for clients.

We are dedicated to providing personal & professional Financial Management Services (FMS) and placement services to hundreds of families throughout the state of Kansas. We provide payroll processing for families who receive state funding on the HCBS Waiver programs to pay for in-home care for their disabled loved one. Our goal is to offer quality care and personalized attention for individuals who self-direct their services. Comprehensive backgrounds are completed on all Direct Support Workers at no cost to the client. We ensure access to training and certifications as needed for Direct Support Workers. We provide individual-centered planning for families to meet the needs of each client.
