Nicholas Gardner has worked in a variety of roles since 2007. Nicholas began their career as a Legislative Aide to Rep. Bernie Buescher, Chairman of the Joint Budget Committee, for the State of Colorado in 2007. In 2008, they moved on to become an Assistant Legislative Liaison and Assistant to the Deputy Chief of Staff for the Office of Governor Bill Ritter, Jr. In 2012, they became a Deputy State Public Defender for the Colorado State Public Defender. From 2015 to 2017, they were an Attorney at Nicholas T. Gardner, LLC, a solo practitioner. Finally, in 2017, they became the Founder and CEO of Helping Habit PBC.
Nicholas Gardner attended the University of Colorado from 2009 to 2012, where they earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.). Prior to that, they attended Gonzaga University from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Nicholas'story.
