Alexander Makar

Alexander Makar's work experience includes positions at various companies. Alexander worked at Helpware, starting as a Finance Manager from September 2016 to October 2017. Alexander then became a Global Finance Manager from November 2017 to March 2021, and currently holds the position of Director of Finance from April 2021 onwards. Prior to Helpware, Alexander was the Head of Deals Structuring at OTP Leasing from September 2015 to May 2016. Alexander also worked as a Senior Credit Officer at OTP Bank from August 2012 to August 2015. Before that, they were the Strategy and Finance Development Manager at Media-Trade Ukraine from October 2009 to August 2012. Alexander held the position of Head of Trade Finance, Corporate Clients Department at Piraeus Bank ICB from September 2008 to October 2009. Alexander worked as the Head of Trade Finance and Financial Institutions at SEB Bank Ukraine from April 2006 to September 2008. Prior to that, they were a Structured Trade Finance Expert at Raiffeisenbank a.s. from July 2004 to April 2006. Alexander started their career at Raiffeisen Bank Aval, where they were a part of the Documentary Operations and Trade Finance Team from October 2003 to July 2004.

Alexander Makar's education history includes a Master's degree in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law from Ukraine Jobs, which they obtained from 2002 to 2003. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in International Finance from Ukraine Jobs, from 2000 to 2002. Alexander also holds another Bachelor's degree in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law from Ukraine Jobs, which they obtained from 1998 to 2002. Before attending Ukraine Jobs, Alexander attended Kyiv Physics and Mathematic Liceum # 208, where they completed their secondary school education in Mathematic and Physics from 1994 to 1998. In addition, they have acquired various certifications, including a CIMA DipPM (Rus) in Business Performance Management from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, as well as certifications in International Financial Reporting, International Trade and Finance, Performance Management, Documentary Trade, Financial Analysis Techniques for Credit Experts, Risk Management, Risk Taking for Credit Management, Structured Trade and Commodity Finance, and Offshore Companies.
