Thore Thomassen has a strong background in enterprise architecture, project management, and business development. From 1993-1997, they worked at ICL Torinno, where they focused on sales and marketing solutions for financial institutions. Thore then joined Storebrand Bank in 1999 as the Chief Architect, responsible for ensuring the bank's systems supported business needs and overseeing various initiatives such as IT strategy, SOA integration, and the development of a data warehouse solution. In 2004, Thomassen transitioned to Storebrand, where they held multiple roles including Senior Project Manager and Head of the Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse department. During their time at Storebrand, they implemented transformative solutions and programs such as establishing the Lean program and leading a cross-Nordic MDM project. Finally, in 2015, Thomassen joined Helsedirektoratet as the Chief Enterprise Architect.
Thore Thomassen attended the Norwegian College of Information Technology from 1984 to 1987 and obtained a degree in Information Technology. Thore then pursued further education at Heriot-Watt University from 1987 to 1991, where they graduated with 2nd Honors in Computer Science. In August 2016, Thore Thomassen obtained a certification in TOGAF from The Open Group.
