Mattis Paulin has a diverse work experience background. Mattis currently holds the position of Chief Solutions Architect at Helsing since August 2022. Prior to that, they worked for the DGA - Direction générale de l'armement as a Systems Architect from May 2016 to July 2022, where they led a team of 4 architects in charge of designing and implementing AI features for weapons systems. Mattis also has experience as a Doctoral student in computer vision at Inria from April 2013 to April 2016, and as a Master's thesis researcher at ETH Zurich from September 2012 to May 2013. Additionally, Mattis has worked as an intern at INRIA in 2011 and at EDF in 2010. Mattis also had a prior internship experience as an Officer in the French Foreign Legion from September 2008 to April 2009, where they gained leadership, pedagogy, and teamwork skills.
Mattis Paulin holds a Master's degree in Machine Learning from ETH Zürich, which they earned from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, from 2008 to 2012, they pursued a Master 1 degree in Informatique, Traitement de l'image, Vision at École Polytechnique. Their education history also includes a L2 degree in Mathématiques, Physique, which they obtained from CPGE Blaise Pascal Orsay from 2006 to 2008.
