Aino Frilander

Aino Frilander is an experienced journalist and editor specializing in arts coverage, currently serving as a staff writer and commissioning editor for the Arts desk at Helsingin Sanomat since September 2011. Aino’s work includes writing profiles, reporting hard news, reviewing exhibitions, and producing essays and opinion pieces, alongside overseeing and editing contributions from freelance writers. Prior experience includes producing for Nyt.fi, where Aino launched a new website targeting a younger demographic, and working as a reporter for Talentum Media. Aino also operated a freelance consultancy business and held the position of account executive at Hill & Knowlton, focusing on PR projects centered on sustainability. Aino's academic background includes a Master's degree in Specialized Journalism from USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, a BA from the University of Helsinki, and an MSc in Business Communications from Aalto University.
