Jan-Erik Antipin

Jan-Erik Antipin has a wide range of work experience in analytics, research, and economics. Jan-Erik currently serves as the Head of Analytics and Research at HSL Helsingin seudun liikenne since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at the Finnish Tax Administration (Verohallinto) from 2013 to 2022, where they focused on applied analytics and people-oriented culture change. Jan-Erik also served as a Macroeconomist at Konjunkturinstitutet from 2009 to 2013, conducting economic and statistical forecasting, as well as participating in various in-house projects. Other roles include being a Research Associate at UNU-WIDER from 2007 to 2011, a Lecturer and Visiting lecturer at Helsinki School of Economics from 2004 to 2009, and a Teaching Assistant at the Finnish Doctoral Programme in Economics (FDPE) from 2005 to 2007. Jan-Erik Antipin also worked as a part-time consultant, empowering business operations with data-driven insights, from 2001 to 2006. Additionally, they gained research experience as a Project Researcher at UNU-WIDER from 2004 to 2005 and as a Research Assistant/Junior Researcher at Åbo Akademi University from 2001 to 2004, where they focused on econometric modeling and income distribution analysis.

Jan-Erik Antipin's education history includes obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Economics, Econometrics, and Quantitative economics from the University of Tampere between 1925-2018. Additionally, Jan-Erik Antipin earned a Licentiate degree in the same field from the University of Tampere during the same period. Furthermore, they completed a Master's Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, and Econometrics from the University of Tampere. Lastly, Jan-Erik Antipin obtained a Certified Credit Analyst (CCA) certification from Aalto University Professional Development - Aalto PRO.
