Benjamin Blumenthal

Benjamin Blumenthal is an experienced professional in international development, currently serving as Country Director for Bangladesh at Helvetas since 2013, after holding the same position in Burkina Faso. Previously, Benjamin was the Head of Governance & Peace and Senior Advisor on Governance, leading a governance team and providing thematic advisory services. As Managing Director of Stride Consulting GmbH, responsibility includes project acquisition and execution in strategic international development. Prior experience includes consulting in international development from 2005 to 2013, with notable projects for UNDP and UN agencies. Earlier roles at the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining involved advisory services across various regions, including Africa and beyond. Benjamin holds a Ph.D. and a Master's degree in International Relations from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.
