M.D. Ashikur Rahman

MD. Ashikur Rahman is a skilled professional in ecology and biodiversity conservation with extensive experience working with various organizations. Currently serving as Nexus Programme Officer at Helvetas since September 2023, Ashikur has previously held roles such as Assistant Consultant at EQMS Consulting Limited, Senior Project Officer at BRAC, and Programme Assistant at IUCN. Ashikur contributed to significant projects at IUCN, including assisting in research on biodiversity conflict mitigation in Cox's Bazar and participating in elephant action plan development in collaboration with the World Bank. Ashikur holds a Master of Science in Zoology/Animal Biology and a Bachelor of Science in the same field from Jahangirnagar University, along with a higher secondary education in science from Cantonment College, Jessore.
