Helvetica Capital
Philipp Berner is Managing Partner of Helvetica Capital. In addition to managing the existing UIP investment portfolio and implementing new investments and financing, as a member of the management team he is responsible for the value creation process at Helvetica.
Before that, Philipp Berner was a member of the RUAG Group Management from 2010 to 2019 as CEO of the globally active Aviation Division. Before that, he was on the management board of RUAG Aerospace for 9 years, responsible for supply chain management and aircraft maintenance.
From 1992 to 2001 he founded and managed a technology company for structures and mechanisms for satellite communication and sold it to a technology group in 2000. Prior to that, he worked at Danzas in the US in global logistics and at UBS in corporate analysis.

Helvetica Capital AG was founded in 2015 as an independent investment firm which arose from the team behind SVC Ltd. for Risk Capital for SMEs, a wholly owned subsidiary of Credit Suisse. Since 2010, the team at SVC Ltd. (in 2018 renamed Credit Suisse Entrepreneur Capital Ltd. or CSEC) has built up an attractive portfolio with direct investments in Swiss SMEs in the venture, growth and later stage areas, which Helvetica Capital continues to manage and further develop as exclusive advisor to CSEC.
