Biao Luo

Biao Luo has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of molecular analysis and genetics. Starting in 1998, Luo worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow with Harvey Lodish at the Whitehead Institute. In 2004, Luo became a Group Leader at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, where they remained until 2009. At the Fox Chase Cancer Center, Luo held the positions of Director of the Institute for Personalized Medicine from 2009 to 2011, Lab Director at the Cancer Genome Institute from 2011 to 2015, and Director of the Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory from 2015 to 2021. Luo then joined BioReference Laboratories as a Clinical Molecular Geneticist in Cancer Genomics from 2021 to 2022. Currently, Luo works as the Director of Molecular Analysis at HematoLogics Inc. starting in 2022.

Biao Luo began their education by completing a Diploma for Completion in Premed at Peking University from 1987 to 1990. Biao then pursued further studies in the field of Medicine at Peking Union Medical College, attending from 1990 to 1991. Following this, Biao Luo went on to earn a Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology from Harvard University, where they studied from 1991 to 1998.
