Liz Williams

Liz Williams has a diverse work experience in various industries. Liz is currently serving as the CEO of Hemideina since February 2017, where they are leading the development of Hera Wireless Implant, a revolutionary hearing treatment. Prior to this, Liz worked at CSIRO from September 2012 to February 2018 in roles such as RAFT Polymer Commercialisation, Research Scientist, and OCE Postdoctoral Fellow. In 2015, they participated in the Lean Launch Pad Educators Course as a Trainee Educator. From 2011 to 2012, Liz held the position of President at CUTEC, where they managed the budget and organized events for the 4000 member club. Liz also had an industrial placement at AstraZeneca R&D from September 2006 to September 2007 as an Industrial Placement - Organic Process Chemist, where they successfully designed and manufactured key intermediates.

Liz Williams has a strong educational background in chemistry and innovation management. Liz completed their PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry (Polyketide Natural Products) at the University of Cambridge from 2008 to 2012. In 2003, Liz obtained an MSci degree in Chemistry from the University of Nottingham, which they completed in 2008.

In addition to their scientific education, Liz also pursued business education at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management. In 2015, they completed two courses at Kellogg: "Business for Scientists and Engineers" with a focus on Accounting and Business/Management, and "Driving Organic Growth through Innovation" which emphasized innovation management.
