Jim Birse

Jim Birse is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as Chief Commercial Officer and Commercial Director at Hemiko since February 2016. Previously, Jim held the position of Head of Commercial at British Gas Heat Networks, where significant growth in the Renewable Heat and District Heating business was achieved, culminating in over £80 million in closed contracts. As Commercial Director and Part Owner at Econergy, Jim contributed to establishing the company as a leader in biomass and small heat networks throughout the UK. Jim's early career included roles as Managing Director, Part Owner, and Finance Director at Econergy, focusing on biomass heating solutions and leading the company through pivotal growth phases. Jim Birse holds a Master's Degree in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London and a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Bristol.
