Dr. Mark Holtzman

Dr. Mark Holtzman currently serves as the Superintendent of Hempfield Area School District since June 2024, following a tenure as Superintendent at Beaver Area School District from May 2022 to June 2024, and McKeesport Area School District from July 2010 to May 2022. Dr. Holtzman has held various roles in education, including Director of Secondary Education and Teacher Evaluation and High School Principal. Additionally, Dr. Holtzman has experience as an Adjunct Instructor at Westminster College from August 2015 to May 2016. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) from the University of Pittsburgh, a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Duquesne University, a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education from Duquesne University, and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Syracuse University.
