Julie Hesketh

Julie has over thirty years’ experience of defending healthcare practitioners in clinical negligence litigation but over the last sixteen years has increasingly specialised both in assisting doctors who find themselves the subject of a GMC investigation, representing them before the IOT and assisting at FTP/MPT Hearings and in defending dental practitioners who find themselves the subject of a dental negligence claim.

She joined Hempsons in 2019 having previously been a partner for many years in a niche firm undertaking the above work.

She aims to offer a thorough, professional but pragmatic approach whilst also offering support and guidance at what can be a difficult time in a practitioner’s professional career.
