Darrell Stein

Darrell Stein has extensive experience in the engineering and fire protection sectors, having served as Chief Operations Officer and Business Unit Leader at Henderson Engineers from November 1999 to January 2021, where responsibilities included strategy, goal setting, and staffing for various MEPF design teams. Prior roles at Henderson Engineers included Principal and Senior Vice President, where collaboration with team leaders was a key focus, as well as serving as Vice President and Director of the Fire & Life Safety Group, overseeing fire protection and life safety design services. Earlier in their career, Darrell Stein worked as a Fire Protection Plans Examiner and Commercial Building Inspector for the Overland Park Fire Department and as a Technical Representative-HPR at Kemper Insurance, focusing on property inspections for major corporations. Darrell Stein holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Engineering from The University of Kansas.
