Associate / Plumbing Technical Director at Henderson Engineers

Michael Monthey has extensive experience in the building systems design field. Michael worked at Henderson Engineers, a national design firm, for a total of 12 years. Michael started as a Plumbing Engineer in May 2009 and was promoted to Plumbing Technical Leader in June 2015. In August 2017, they became an Associate and the Plumbing Technical Director at the same company. Prior to their time at Henderson Engineers, they worked at KJWW Engineering Consultants as a Mechanical Designer from October 2005 to March 2009, and as a Construction Administrator from May 2004 to October 2005. Michael also held the position of Construction Administrator at National Fire Suppression from 1997 to 1999, and at Koll Construction from 1995 to 1997.

Michael Monthey obtained a Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering from Kansas State University, completing their education in 2004. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications including a Credential for Green Plumbing Design from the American Society of Plumbing Engineers in June 2014, a Professional Engineer (PE) certification from the State of Kansas in May 2011, and a Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD) certification from the American Society of Plumbing Engineers in May 2010.
