Mechanical Design Engineer - Health Sector at Henderson Engineers

Mike Wurts has extensive experience in the engineering field, with a focus on the healthcare sector. Mike began their career at The University of Kansas Health System as an Energy Systems Intern in 2015. From there, they joined P1 Group, Inc. in 2016 as a Project Intern, and later became a Project Engineer, working on engineering projects and gaining valuable experience. In 2019, Mike joined Henderson Engineers as a Mechanical Design Engineer, where they specialize in designing building systems and preparing construction documents for healthcare projects. Alongside their engineering career, Mike also serves as a Wrestling Coach at Olathe Northwest High School since 2022.

Mike Wurts began their education at Olathe North Sr High School, where they earned their high school diploma from 2009 to 2012. After that, they attended Kansas State University from 2012 to 2017, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.

As for additional certifications, in January 2019, they became a Certified Engineer Intern (EIT) through the Kansas Board of Technical Professions. Moreover, in May 2013, Mike Wurts also obtained a SolidWorks Associate certification, although the institution providing this certification was not mentioned.
