Fernando Carrillo

Fernando Carrillo is the Head of Data Science CoE at Henkel, leading a global data science organization focused on delivering business value through data-driven use cases. With 12 years of experience in data science and analytics, they have a proven track record of building high-performing teams and scaling data science delivery across diverse environments. Previously, Fernando held various senior roles at QIAGEN, where they drove data projects and managed teams of machine learning engineers and data scientists. They earned a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the International Max Planck Research School and a Diploma in Biochemistry from Universität Witten/Herdecke. Fernando also conducted postdoctoral research at Yale University and contributed to multiple projects at prestigious institutions such as the Max Planck Institute.
