Chris Voggesser

Chris Voggesser has a diverse work experience in business development and leadership roles. Chris is currently the Vice President of Business Development at Henning Companies, where they started in February 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an Independent Contractor in 2020. From 2021 to 2022, Chris served as the National Business Development Manager at The Weitz Company. Chris also has experience as the CEO of Make-A-Wish Iowa from 2014 to 2019 and as the President of West Des Moines Chamber and Development Connection from 2010 to 2014. Earlier in their career, they held the position of Director of Business Development at JE Dunn Construction from 2008 to 2010 and Business Development Manager at The Weitz Company from 2003 to 2008. Chris began their professional journey as the Manager of Business Development at The Greater Des Moines Partnership from 1998 to 2003.

Chris Voggesser has a Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management from Graceland University, which they obtained from 1989 to 1994. Chris then pursued a Graduate degree in Economic Development Institute from the University of Oklahoma, completing it from 2000 to 2004. Prior to attending university, Chris graduated from Walnut Community School in 1989. Chris also holds a certification in Leadership Institute from FMI, which was obtained in July 2022.
