Johnny Wilson

Commissioner at Henry County

Johnny Wilson spent more than 32 years in a career with the fire service because he believes that helping to keep his community safe is a great privilege and an important duty. He views his election to represent the citizens of District I as a commissioner as a chance to continue that proud tradition of public service.

Johnny is a Georgia native who has resided in Henry County for nearly 40 years. He has been married to his lovely wife Donna since 1979 and together they have three grown daughters and four grandchildren. He has attended Southpoint Fellowship in Locust Grove for the past several years.

In addition to his public service, Johnny has also been successful as an entrepreneur and small business owner, operating a number of businesses in Henry County and the Southern Crescent. These entrepreneurial endeavors included work as a general contractor, and in real estate investment and property management. He currently owns and operates Dumpster Doctor, a roll-off dumpster rental service.

In his role as District I Commissioner, Johnny believes that his lifetime of both public service and private business experience will assist him well in serving the citizens of Henry County. Johnny will prioritize his efforts toward well-equipped public safety, as well as focus on addressing infrastructure issues to ensure that the County meets the demands of a growing population and an influx of new businesses. He will also work diligently to help foster quality economic growth in the County. Above all, Johnny places his emphasis on responsible fiscal stewardship, integrity and transparency so that the citizens of District 1 can enjoy open access and personal representation on the Henry County Board of Commissioners.
