Gary Vinokur

Gary Vinokur is an experienced Advanced Practice Provider with a focus on emergency medicine. Currently serving as the Lead Advanced Practice Provider in the Emergency Departments at Heywood Healthcare since January 2018, Gary oversees operations for both Heywood Hospital and Athol Hospital. Additional roles include providing locum tenens services as an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant for Cape Cod Healthcare since July 2021, and past per-diem positions at various healthcare institutions. Gary's career began in emergency medical services, working as a Paramedic for the Town of East Brookfield and MedStar Ambulance. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry from Worcester State University. Gary has also contributed to education as an adjunct faculty member in Emergency Medicine at Bryant University.
