James L. has a diverse range of work experience in the field of medicine. James started their career at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, where they held various positions including Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine, Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine, and Clinical Instructor. James also worked at UCLA Health in roles such as Medical Specialties Representative, Department of Medicine Quality Program Physician Coach, and Associate Regional Director of Interventional Cardiology.

James also had roles within UCLA Health as the UCLA Porter Ranch Office Subspecialty Lead Physician, a participant in the Department of Medicine Expansion Leadership Program, a panelist for the UCLA Physician Onboarding Program, and a task force member for the UCLA Porter Ranch Office.

Lastly, they worked as a Private Group Practice Interventional Cardiologist at Cardiovascular Consultants Medical Group.

James L. completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business at Cornell University from 1994 to 1998. James then pursued their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at Loma Linda University from 1998 to 2002. Additionally, they obtained several certifications including American Board of Internal Medicine - Interventional Cardiology in 2009, American Board of Internal Medicine - Cardiovascular Disease in 2008, American Board of Internal Medicine in 2005, and they are licensed by the State Medical Board of California and the State Medical Board of New York.
