Rachel Lyons

Rachel Lyons (Wood-Harper) is an experienced project manager currently working at the Henry Royce Institute since January 2023. Prior to this role, Rachel held various project officer positions at The University of Manchester, focusing on climate change research and laser processing from April 2021 to January 2023. Previously, Rachel served as a school business manager at Ashdene Primary School and worked at The University of Manchester for nearly a decade in project management and administration roles. Rachel's work included high-profile projects such as the EPSRC Manufacturing Immortality project and the H2020 DISCOVERER project. Rachel also has a background in quality assurance and press relations from Prospects.ac.uk and customer service roles at John Lewis and Total Fitness. Rachel holds an MA in Public Relations and a BA (Hons) in Information and Communication with Cultural Studies from The Manchester Metropolitan University.
