Duncan Hannah has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Duncan currently works as a Principal Scientist at Sosei Heptares, starting in November 2019. Prior to this, they held various roles at Domainex from 2017 to 2019, including Team Leader, Chemistry and Senior Medicinal Chemist. From 2008 to 2016, Duncan worked at Takeda Cambridge Ltd as a Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist, where they were responsible for leading drug discovery projects and coaching junior colleagues. Before that, they worked as a Senior Scientist at UCB from 2004 to 2008, a Senior Medicinal Chemist at Celltech Group Ltd from 2000 to 2004, and a Senior Medicinal Chemist at Chiroscience from 1996 to 2000.
Duncan Hannah completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from the University of Oxford from 1989 to 1993. Following this, they pursued further studies and obtained a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Nottingham from 1993 to 1996.
