Doug Wiles has an extensive work experience that spans several industries. Doug started their career in 1974 with the US Army, where they served for 21 years. During this time, they held various roles and was stationed in Miami for 6 weeks after Hurricane Andrew. In 1979, they joined Herbie Wiles Insurance as the President and continued in this role indefinitely. In 1996, they were elected as a State Representative for the Florida House of Representatives and served for 8 years representing several counties. Doug's term ended in 2004 as they reached the limit allowed by law.
Doug Wiles completed their Associate of Arts degree at St Johns River Community College from 1970 to 1972. Doug then pursued their Bachelor of Science in Journalism at the University of Florida, which they completed from 1972 to 1974.
