Fahad Khalil

Fahad Khalil has an extensive work experience in various roles and responsibilities within the engineering field. Fahad started their career in 2002 at PAEC Nuclear Power Plant Industry, where they worked as a Principal Engineer in several nuclear power plants, including Chashma Nuclear Power Plant Unit-1 and Karachi Nuclear Power Plant Unit-2 & 3. During this time, Fahad was involved in design review, accident management, training and development, safety and licensing, technical support, and operations.

In 2008, Fahad worked as a Resident Quality Assurance Engineer in China for Chashma Nuclear Power Plant Unit-2, ensuring equipment testing and reviewing factory test reports. Fahad also served as a Senior Engineer in various capacities, including Deputy Section Chief Commissioning and Commissioning Plan Review at Chashma Nuclear Power Plant Unit-2, where they contributed to installation verification, commissioning activities, procedure writing, design improvements, and PID development.

From 2011 to 2017, Fahad worked at Chashma Nuclear Power Plant Unit-3 & 4 as a Principal Engineer in Process Design Review, focusing on post-Fukushima accident response plans, design improvements, and modification reviews. Fahad then joined 1000MWe Karachi Nuclear Power Plant Unit 2 & 3 as a Design Review Officer, where they improved control logic and prevented tripping of reactor coolant pumps.

In 2018, Fahad joined the Pakistan Institute of Engineering & Applied Sciences as a Member of the Board of Studies in the Chemical Engineering Department. More recently, in 2019, they worked as a Plant Manager at Copper Mining & Beneficiation Plant, overseeing various operations and achieving significant production and cost-saving results.

Fahad's most recent role is as Deputy General Manager Operations at Herbion International, starting in 2021. With their diverse experience in operations management, continuous improvement, and financial analysis, Fahad brings valuable expertise to the company.

Fahad Khalil obtained their Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from COMSATS Institute of Information and Technology, where they studied from 1997 until 2001. In 2006, they earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management from Skill Development Council (SDC) Govt. of Pakistan-Islamabad. The same year, Fahad also completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Safety Management from Skill Development Council (SDC) Govt. of Pakistan-Peshawar. In 2003 and 2004, they pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Nuclear Power Plant Technology from CHASNUPP Center for Nuclear Training (CHASCENT)-Chashma Pakistan. Finally, from 2011 to 2013, Fahad completed their Masters in energy management from COMSATS Institute of Information and Technology.
