Roy Y. Liu

Roy Liu has extensive experience in finance and investment, serving as Managing Director and Co-founder of Hercules Capital, Inc. since May 2004. Liu has held key roles in various organizations, including Advisory Board Member and Board Chair for Northeastern University's IDEA venture accelerator, and Board Member and Treasurer for the Mad River Glen Ski Cooperative from 2010 to 2015. Additional experience includes positions on the Board of Directors for InfoLogix and as Vice President at GrandBanks Capital, where significant investments were led, including one in Colubris Networks. Liu's career also encompasses a partnership at VantagePoint Structured Investments and leadership roles at toysmart.com as CFO and at Imperial Bank as Senior Vice President. Liu holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business and a BS in Electrical Engineering with a focus on solid state physics and computer science from the University of Michigan.
