Becca Ballenger is currently a Production Assistant at Here Comes The Guide. Prior to that, they were a Contributing Writer at Pearson, where they produced original research essays, responses, infographics, exercises, and more. Becca also assisted with proofing and editing of selected exercises and lessons, and updated APA and MLA citation formats, along with research and creating resources on new online research strategies. Before Pearson, Becca was a Writer at Shmoop, where they created semester-long high school courses in various topics (AP European Becca'story, AP U.S. Becca'story, AP Art Becca'story, Introduction to Drama, Introduction to Film), completed extensive research to expand existing documents for various age levels and subjects, including middle school-level literature and college-level journalism, and assisted in the completion of other humanities and literature projects, including creating course-aligned exams. Becca also created rigorous lessons and analytical activies to match Common Core standards and/or AP standards, included various link-outs and multimedia to enhance the online experience, maintained a punny, humorous, and on-trend voice, and worked independently and remotely to meet deadlines.
