Paul Walker

Chief Executive at Herefordshire Council

Paul Walker is the current Chief Executive at Herefordshire Council. Paul has extensive experience in strategic management and leadership, having served as a Corporate Director at London Borough of Harrow from November 2017 to May 2021, where they were responsible for regeneration, strategic development, planning, cultural services, enterprise and economy, Harrow Housing and Environmental Services. Prior to that, they were the Director of Paul Walker Consulting Ltd from November 2015 to October 2017, where they provided management consultancy services to public sector organizations. Paul has also worked with Pennine Lancashire Local Authority, developing the Council's economic growth programme and signature town centre re-development; turning around delivery of the national empty homes programme across five local authorities and strategic lead for East Lancashire 'Transforming Lives' public service reform programme working successfully with partners across district, unitary and Council Councils, Lancashire Police, CCG's and voluntary sector.

Paul Walker graduated from the University of Central Lancashire with a Masters Degree in Business Administration and a Diploma in Management Studies.
