Alex Averitt

Alex Averitt serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Heritage Distribution Holdings since 2021, overseeing the rapid growth of the HVACR distribution business from $165 million to $650 million in revenue following the acquisition of Wittichen Supply. Prior to this role, Alex was the Chief Operating Officer at BlueLinx Corporation, managing full P&L responsibilities for a $4.1 billion distributor from 2018 to 2021. Alex also held various executive positions at Cedar Creek from 2005 to 2018, including CEO and COO, where leadership responsibilities included strategic planning and operational management for a $1.4 billion wholesale distribution business. Earlier in the career, Alex worked as a General Manager at Jeld-Wen, managing multiple business functions for different divisions. Alex earned a Bachelor's degree in Professional Studies from Arkansas Tech University and furthered education at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
