Tera Barnhardt, DVM, MS, is a veterinarian and animal welfare consultant with extensive experience in the agricultural sector. Currently a partner at Heritage Vet Partners, Tera previously operated as a self-employed consultant specializing in animal welfare for feedyards, dairy, and cow-calf operations. Tera served as the Coordinator of Animal Health and Welfare at Cattle Empire, LLC, focusing on developing and implementing health initiatives and engaging in contract research. Tera's background includes work as an Associate Veterinarian in a mixed animal practice and significant research experience with the Beef Cattle Institute at Kansas State University. Tera holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and a Master of Science in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from Kansas State University, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences.
