Michel Pollok

Michel Pollok has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Michel is currently working as a Senior IT Project Lead at Hermes Germany GmbH, where they are responsible for leading and implementing cross-functional AI- and cloud-based products. This includes product development on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and leading an initiative for the integration of Artificial Intelligence in the company.

Prior to this, Michel worked as an IT Consultant Cloud & Process at Cloudeteer GmbH & Pollok Consulting, where they provided consulting services for Microsoft Azure and AWS architectures for SME clients. Michel also worked as a freelance IT/process consultant in SMEs.

Before joining Cloudeteer GmbH, Michel held the position of Head of IT & Process at Team Lines Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG. In this role, they were responsible for IT infrastructure, including ERP and BI strategic development. Michel also served as interim management of Customer Service and focused on IT modernization through the implementation of a hybrid cloud model and infrastructure security.

Michel also has experience as a Business Coach and Lean Consultant at Pollok Consulting & FORTIS IT Services Hamburg. Michel provided LEAN consulting and project consulting in SAP projects for various clients.

Earlier in their career, Michel worked as a Senior Implementation Manager/Six Sigma Black Belt at A.P. Moller - Maersk Group, where they led multidisciplinary teams and developed new processes with LEAN Six Sigma methodology. Michel also worked at Toshiba Electronics Europe GmbH as a Manager Business Services Department, where they were responsible for the introduction of an Oracle ERP system in Europe and product marketing.

Throughout their career, Michel has gained expertise in areas such as project management, change management, business process improvement, and agile project management.

Michel Pollok obtained a Magister Artium degree in Political Sciences and Japanese Studies from Universität Trier, completing the program from 1994 to 2000. In addition, Pollok has obtained several certifications throughout the years, including a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from Scrum Alliance in 2013 and an OKR Coach Certificate from Workpath Academy in 2024. Other certifications include Data Science with Python, Supervised and Unsupervised Machine Learning, Scaled Professional Scrum (SPS), Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I), Professional Scrum Product Owner I (PSPO I), Professional Scrum Product Owner™ I (PSPO I), Design Thinking Basics, PRINCE2® Foundation Certification Training, Business Coach, Six Sigma Black Belt Certification – Level I, and The Essentials of Management.
