Head Tennis Professional at Hermitage Country Club

Eric Shulman has a diverse work experience in the tennis industry. Eric started their career as a Lead Tennis Instructor at Tennis for Life in 2008, where they created and implemented instructional programs for various age groups. Eric then worked as a Head Tennis Camp Counselor at Kanawha Tennis Club in 2010, where they developed and executed a camp program for young players. From 2008 to 2012, they also served as a Sports Information Intern and Assistant Men's Tennis Coach at Christopher Newport University, where they handled statistics and media production, recruited players, and provided coaching during matches and tournaments. In 2014, they became the Head Tennis Professional at The Wembley Club, where they revamped the junior program, organized adult programs and events, and improved membership communications. Eric later moved to Willow Oaks Country Club in 2015 as a Tennis Professional, where they created a new training curriculum for the junior program and managed USTA events and junior tournaments. Currently, since 2020, they hold the position of Head Tennis Professional at Hermitage Country Club.

Eric Shulman obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Communication and Media Studies from Christopher Newport University, which they attended from 2008 to 2012. In 2014, they also attained certification as a USPTA Certified tennis instructor from the United States Tennis Association (USTA).
