Paul Hasenmeier

Paul Hasenmeier currently serves as the Public Safety Director and Fire Chief for Hernando County Government since October 2022. In addition to this role, Paul has been a Lead Faculty member at Columbia Southern University since September 2013. Previously, Paul held the position of Fire Chief for the Town of Sunset Beach from October 2018 to October 2022 and served as Deputy Fire and EMS Chief in Goshen Township from January 2015 to September 2018. Earlier in their career, Paul worked as a Lieutenant at the City of Huron Fire Department from December 2000 to January 2015 and began as a Firefighter in the City of Sandusky from August 2002 to April 2004. Paul holds a Master of Public Administration from Capella University and has completed the Executive Fire Officer Program at the National Fire Academy. Paul also earned a Bachelor's and Associate's degree in Fire Science/Fire-fighting from Columbia Southern University.
