Kenneth Hayden

Chief Deputy Kenneth Hayden has served with the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office since January 1997. Colonel Hayden’s prior assignments include Operations Bureau Commander, captain of Special Operations, commander of the Major Crimes Section, Professional Standards Section commander, District 1 administrative sergeant, accreditation manager, Patrol sergeant, Rapid Response Team sergeant, COPPS deputy, and patrol deputy. Major Hayden holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice from the University of South Florida and a master’s degree in strategic leadership from Mountain State University. Major Hayden also completed the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Executive Leadership Seminar in 2019.
