David Breininger

Chief Scientist at Herndon Solutions Group

David Breininger has extensive experience in wildlife ecology, research, natural resource management, ecological restoration, conservation land acquisition, environmental education, and environmental regulation. David has held the position of lead wildlife ecologist in NASA's Ecological Program at Kennedy Space Center since 2009. In addition, they have served on several endangered species recovery teams and conservation organizations. Currently, they hold a role as Chief Scientist at Herndon Solutions Group, starting in 2020.

David Breininger completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Marine Biology at Florida Institute of Technology, which they attended from 1974 to 1981. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Ecology from the same institution, completing it from 1978 to 1981. Later, they enrolled at the University of Central Florida to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Conservation Biology. However, specific start and end years for this program were not provided.
