Masao Taketani

Masao Taketani is an AI Engineer at HEROZ, Inc. since April 2024, focusing on R&D activities that leverage generative AI technologies for image generation and large language models. Previously, Masao worked as an AI Researcher at AI Inside Inc. from March 2021 to March 2022, where the focus was on OCR model development and enhancing accuracy through GAN-based pseudo handwritten data. At SystemEXE, Inc., from April 2017 to February 2021, Masao was the inaugural Deep Learning Research Engineer, leading AI developments with an emphasis on applying DNN algorithms to computer vision challenges, and also served as a Software Engineer, building and testing database environments. Education culminated in a Master's degree in Information Science and Technology from The University of Tokyo (April 2022 - March 2024) and a Bachelor of Science in Statistics from the University of Minnesota (2013 - 2016).
