Sharon Taylor is a prominent political figure currently serving as the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for the Department for Housing, Communities and Local Government (DHCLG) and the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) since October 2022, in addition to holding the title of Baroness Taylor of Stevenage OBE. With a long-standing commitment to public service, Taylor has been a County Councillor for Hertfordshire since February 2008 and a Councillor for Stevenage Borough Council since May 1997, representing Symonds Green Ward. Prior experience includes managing a team of 18 as Head of Executive Support at Hertfordshire Constabulary from 1994 to 2008 and serving as a cheque signatory and personal assistant at John Lewis from 1984 to 1993. Taylor holds a BA (Hons) in English Literature from the University of Hertfordshire and completed education at Girls' Grammar School in Stevenage.
