Li Yifan

Li Yifan, CEO of Hesai Technology, expert in robotics & motion control and leader in the global autonomous driving industry. Li Yifan’s numerous accolades include being named as “2021 Young Global Leader” , “Fortune Magazine - Forty Under 40 in China” , “MIT Technology Review - 35 Innovators Under 35”, “Designer of ’Red Dot Award’ in Germany”. Li Yifan received his PhD in Robotics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (USA), and his BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tsinghua University (China). Prior to founding Hesai, Li Yifan served as a principal engineer at Western Digital in Silicon Valley. Li Yifan has more than 100 patents in the fields of robotics, motion control, sensors and advanced manufacturing. His hobbies include marathons, basketball and photography.
